Federal Minister for Interior, Rehman Malik revealed on Sunday that weapons seized from the suspects in Karachi were Israel-made, adding that further investigation into the matter was underway.
Talking to media at Islamabad Airport regarding law and order situation in Karachi, the minister said that around 225 suspects were arrested from the various part of the city. He said that no one would be allowed to destroy the peace in Karachi. To a question regarding PPP-MQM relations, he said that the doors of the ruling party were open for them.
He said the government while recognising importance of MQM in Karachi, had sent PML-Q leader Chaudhry Shujaat to Karachi for dialogue with MQM. He said that the ruling party's coalition with MQM was important for peace in Karachi.
