Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N, while talking to journalists here on Sunday rejected the notion of an in-house change in the government, stating rather it is time for elections. On the sidelines of his lecture in Tech Society, he said that the politicians' thoughts were devoid of any planning for the masses and improving a lot of down-trodden in the country. He stressed upon improving the flawed political system and holding elections within the party, which he said, were not there harming the spirit of true democracy. He said that the country was on the track of development, but was losing opportunity because of fights within their ranks.
He cautioned that if the country's leadership remained in slumber, then a revolution would break out. PML-N senior leader said that no party at present was giving tickets to any one who possessed higher qualifications.
Makhdoom Javed Hashmi said that the Karachi situation could be set right only by imbibing tolerance. He said, "We should do politics of alliance instead of violence".
He denied that he knew anything about his name being referred for seat of prime ministership of the country. He said that his party would contest future elections in association of other friends and would accept result of the election even if PML-Q wins.
Referring again about peace in Karachi, he said that a good intention joint effort should be made for that. He said Pakistani politicians had flats in London and other countries and warned that if they did not work for the country and the masses with sincere intentions now, then they would suffer as the revolution would take its heavy toll, he warned.
