Minister for Livestock and Agriculture, Malik Ahmed Ali Aulakh has directed the officers of Livestock and Dairy Development to step forward for retrieval of livestock farmland from illegal occupants and for this purpose, district government be approached to provide necessary legal support.
The minister issued instructions to Director Livestock Farms to ensure availability of seeds and fertilisers for the crops and fodder to be sown at farms and directed to complete official formalities for provision of funds at-least two months prior to the sowing. He said that action will be taken against farm superintendents who fail to achieve production targets.
He was presiding over a meeting of the department, here on Friday. Aulakh directed to constitute a committee comprising District Livestock Officer, EDO Agriculture and Forest for monitoring the performance of livestock farms. The committee will visit livestock farms on monthly basis and put up report along-with its recommendations for the development of farms. He also directed Livestock and Dairy Development Directors to ensure attendance of officials and maintain movement registers in their offices and lower formation.
