Capital Police on Friday held a flag march in Islamabad in a bid to show determination of the force to maintain law and order situation. The flag march was led by Shakir Ahmed Shahid, Superintendent of Police (SP) Secretariat and all wings of Capital police took part in the march to show strength of the law enforcers.
The march was held on the special instructions of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan aimed at showing determination of the force for maintaining law and order, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police on Friday. He said that the flag march would help forces to remain on high alert to face any untoward situation and provide complete peace of mind to people of Islamabad. Rescue 15, Commandos, patrolling eagles and falcons of all police stations and personnel from Aabpara, Kohsar, Margalla, Industrial Area police stations took part in the flag march, the spokesman said.
He said that march started from Secretariat police station and after passing through Radio Pakistan, Red Zone, Parliament House, Constitutions Avenue, Margalla Road, Attaturk Avenue, Ayub Chowk, super Market, College Road, Margalla Road, 9th Avenue, I-8, Faisal Avenue, and Kashmir Highway culminated in front of Serena Hotel.
