President Asif Ali Zardari will visit Iran on Saturday to discuss expansion of bilateral relations and situation in the region including Afghanistan with the Iranian leadership. During his stay in Teheran, he will hold talks with Iranian supreme leader and others.
Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Mashallah Shakeri talking to Iranian media said that President Asif Ali Zardari during his visit would meet Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei and his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. "Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik will also accompany President Zardari in his Tehran visit," he said. The ambassador said that relations between Iran and Pakistan were very important for the stability of region and the Islamic world. Shakeri said that Pakistan and Iran enjoy strong cultural, religious and historic relations.
