PGMI announces schedule of interviews

Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) Lahore has announced the schedule of interviews for the 2011-12 academic session admissions. Over 1,000 doctors from the whole country have submitted their applications for specialisation in 47 diploma and degree courses in the institute. Professors of various departments would conduct the interviews of the candidates, who have qualified the entry test, from 12th to 28th July.
Principal PGMI and LGH Professor Dr Tariq Salahuddin said that the institute is holding various degrees and diploma programmes in various fields and students including four provinces and AJK are studying here in the institute.
He said that after completing their studies the doctors are performing their duties in Middle East, Europe and in Third-World countries and playing the role of successful ambassadors of Pakistan abroad. He said that the strength of doctors in Pakistan according to the population is short; adding that to implement the vision of the Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif the institute is doing all-out efforts for the maintenance of the highest standard of quality education. Dr Tariq Salahudidn said that the new session would be commenced from 1st of October.
