Wind power projects: Sindh chief secretary calls for removing bottlenecks

Sindh Chief Secretary Raja Muhammad Abbas on Wednesday emphasised upon removal of bottlenecks pertaining to the wind power projects for their expeditious implementation and completion. He expressed these views while presiding a review meeting to this effect here. Secretary Sindh Board of Investment, M Y Dagha, briefed the status of companies interested in the projects.
The companies working on the wind power task include EFCEL, Dawood Power, Wind Eagle, Metro Power, Zurlo Energy, Sapphire Wind Power Co, New Park Energy, Lucky Energy, Sachal Energy, Abbas Steel Group and other investors. The meeting decided to constitute a committee comprising DCO, EDO (revenue) and DPO of Thatta District to take action against partial encroachment around the specified area of wind power projects ie Jhampir and Gharo in Thatta.
