Skill Development Council (SDC), Islamabad will organise a CCTV training course from Monday (today) to develop a professional approach in system designs and requirement capturing. The six-day course would focus on the key elements of the CCTV from components to applications.
Head Trainer of the Course at SDC, Fawad Gul on Sunday said the basic objectives of the course are to help the participants in identifying opportunities to sell an install the CCTV and analysing the customers' requirements and specifying a basic system. He told APP that the training would also help in understanding the features, functions and benefits of a CCTV system and its components.
Gul said the topics planned to be discussed during training include introduction to CCTV system, CCTV cameras, light levels, resolution compression lens and lens calculators.
The other important topics would include understanding camera's datasheet, CCTV important terms and CCTV DVR and peripheral equipment, he added. Answering a question, he said the training would be beneficial for CCTV system designers and installers in order to develop a professional approach among them.
He said students, security system installers and people with computers and electronics or electrical background would attend the course, which will end on July 9.
People with a keen interest in the exciting and most challenging field of video surveillance can also get benefit from the training, he added.
Gul said no doubt there is an increasing reliance on the use of CCTV within the country and added CCTV systems have proven themselves to be a powerful tool within the security industry in deterring criminal activity.
He said this training makes the positive effect on every participant's performance and one can surely able to do job in security industry with confidence.
He said besides this course, the SDC, which is working under Ministry of Labour, Manpower & Overseas Pakistanis had also arranged courses on AutoCAD, secretarial skills, fiber optic and wireless communication, Programmable Logical Controller (PLC) civil structural design and project planning, professional photography and 3D Studio Max & Adobe Photoshop.
These were basically made for vacationing students and mid career professionals in order to develop entrepreneurship skills and laying the ground for expansion of employment opportunities.
He said training programmes are flexible, demand driven and cost effective with maximum participation from the employers and according to the customers needs, adding that the SDC also conducts Training Needs Assessment Surveys and schedules its training programmes accordingly.
