A spokesman of Punjab government here on Sunday said that provincial government has sent a summary to Governor Punjab for the enforcement of Drug Act in the province in the light of 18th Amendment to the Constitution'73 and he will issue an ordinance for this purpose.
The spokesman said that prior to the 18th Amendment, registration of medicines, issuance of manufacturing licences and fixation of the prices of medicines were undertaken at the federal level but now these responsibilities have been devolved to the provinces.
