Total open interest position at the futures counter during the week ended on July 2, 2011 increased by 37 percent, to Rs 792 million. On the other hand, the futures spreads also surged by 112bps to 9.3 percent. However, average daily volume at the futures counter slumped by 53 percent to 2.1 million shares (Jul-11 contracts).
