Upward trend was seen on wholesale grain market on Tuesday as most of the buyers opted for sidelines due to dwindling interest, dealers said. On the grams side, grams Australia gained Rs 100 to Rs 4700-4900, grams dal Australia followed the same pattern, rising by the same amount to Rs 5700-5900 and grams 50x50 also followed the same print picking up the same amount to Rs 5550-5750, other items' rates were unchanged owing to balanced demand and supply position, dealers said.
On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh low type rose by Rs 25 to Rs 3675 while the good type did not move any side after retaining the overnight level at Rs 3750, other items maintained the overnight levels in process of trading, they said. On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type shed Rs 40 to Rs 1350 while the best quality retained the overnight level at Rs 1425, they said. Prices maintained overnight levels on the cereal side in process of trading, they said.
