PML-Q MNA Marvi Memon has dramatically resigned from the seat of NA and also from the membership of PML-Q on the basis of "principles". Marvi Memon was elected as MNA against a reserved seat in Punjab in the year 2008. Like her father Nisar Memon, she was a staunch supporter of ex-military dictator General Musharraf (Retd) so much so that after his departure, Marvi Memon used to display his portraits while campaigning for elections in GB.
Marvi Memon and her father both had no constituencies in Sindh. Only for their love for ex-military dictator, they got maximum benefits. Now they would wait till next military government or till such time that an interim government is installed so that her father would get Information Ministry as he has done twice in the past. She tried her best against PPP and PML-Q alliance but after her failure, she was visualising no role for her in PML-Q. Therefore, she was left with no option except to resign.
