The Children's Complaint Office (CCO) established by Wafaqi Mohtasib is organising a workshop on Juvenile Justice Reforms here on June 29. The seminar entitled "Dissemination workshop on Juvenile Justice Reforms in Pakistan" is being held to share the draft recommendations of the working group commissioned under the direction of Chief Justice of Pakistan and organised by Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan with UNICEF's support.
The support is extended for two areas including development of structures for diversion and rehabilitation of juvenile delinquents in the Pakistani context and to review and propose amendments in the Juvenile Justice System Ordinance 2000. The workshop will be attended by national and regional jurists, academics, researchers, implementers and policy makers working in the area of juvenile justice.
Musarrat Hilali, Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment of Women, Justice Pervaiz Ali Chawla, Director General Federal Judicial Academy, Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi, Head of Children's Complaint Office, Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat, Justice retired Chaudhry Hassan Nawaz, Mohsin Akhtar Kayani advocate Supreme Court, Nasrullah Khan, deputy secretary Law and Justice Commission, Fowzia Jalal Shah, Director Council of Islamic Ideology, Mumtaz Ahmed legal advisor ministry of Law Khyber- Pakhtunkhwa and others would attend the workshop.
