An activist of Sipah Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) was gunned down at New Karachi in the remits of Bilal Colony police station. According to police, the incident took place near 2-minute roundabout, where 24-year-old Kashif Wakeel, who was on his way to home from work, was assaulted by unknown armed riders.
Resultantly, the victim Kashif was hit by two bullets and succumbed to his injuries on the way to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. After committing the crime, the culprits managed to flee from scene in leaps and bounds. They said the deceased, who was an activist of Ahle Sunnat Wal Al Jamaat (ASWJ) formerly known as SSP, used to run a general store at New Karachi. Police said that the initial course of investigation revealed that the victim was targeted as his cell phone and money was not picked by the culprits. NO case was registered till filing of this report.
