Sindh police on Monday claimed to have recovered a body and a wounded businessman, who were kidnapped for ransom, in the limits of Aziz Bhatti police station. According to police, a body and a wounded businessman were found near Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) in a car (ARB-046).
They said the deceased was identified, as Ali Nawaz 30 while the injurer was Dhanno. They said the injured in his statement said that he and Ali came from Badin to buy a car but were abducted by the unknown armed men from Karachi's Sunday Bazaar. The victim further informed police that the culprits transported both of them to unknown place where they looted their valuables and shot them.
Then, the culprits threw both of them near FUUAST where Ali succumbed to his injuries while the injured Dhanno managed to survive. Meanwhile, Duty Officer Rafiq said the injured Dhanno has given his statement according to which he and Ali were kidnapped by unidentified armed men, who later shifted them to unknown place on the wee hours of Monday morning. No case was registered till the filing of this report.
In another incident, a bullet-riddled body was found in a factory in the limits of Mochko police station. Police said the body was found in a factory located at Block A, Muhammad Khan Colony. They said the deceased was identified as Bashir Noor, 32, adding that the victim used to stay in the factory along with his nephew Jabbar, who remained missing since the incident. They suspected that the victim had serious conflicts with his nephew and his nephew might have murdered him over the same reason.
