Justice Muhammad Azam Khan on Saturday took oath as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir at a ceremony held here at Kashmir House. President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Zulqarnain administrated the oath. Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Manzoor Ahmed Watto was also present in the ceremony.
The oath taking ceremony started with the recitation from the Holy Qur'an and attended by Judges of the Supreme Court of Azad Kashmir, Chief Justice of AJK High Court, Secretary Law Ministry AJK, Judges of the Shariat Court of AJK, NAB Chairman AJK, Khawaja Saeed, Chairman Ihtisab Bureau, Justice (Retd) Raja Saeed Akram, Mohtasib AJK, a large number of lawyers and senior officers of Law and Justice Commission of AJK besides others. Registrar of the AJK Supreme Court conducted the ceremony.
