Shanghai copper falls

Published Updated

The most-active August copper contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange closed down 1.1 percent at 67,570 yuan per tonne on Monday. Sentiment was undermined by weakness in the Shanghai Composite index, which fell 0.8 percent, bringing its losses for June to 4.5 percent, hit by worries about Greece and the US debt ceiling.
