The Meteorological department has forecast thunderstorm/rain to occur over Gilgit-Baltistan, Hazara, Malakand, Gujranwala, Lahore, D.G.Khan, Faisalabad & Bahawalpur divisions and scattered thunderstorm/rain may likely to occur over Kashmir. However mainly hot/humid and dry weather is expected in other parts of the country.
In a special advisory, the Met. Office has already stated that the second spell of pre-monsoon rain/showers expected from 20th June (today) and the 3rd spell in last week of June. The regular monsoon rains are likely to start from first week of July.
In its weather bulletin on Sunday, Met. Office said that yesterday's deep depression over North Bay of Bengal moved West- North-westward and lies over west Bengal.
A trough of westerly wave is moving across Northeast of Afghanistan. Seasonal low lies over Northeast Balochistan & adjoining areas.
Moist current from Arabian Sea is reaching Punjab & Kashmir up to 5000 feet.
Meanwhile weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country on Sunday. However, isolated rain/thundershower occurred in Kashmir and adjoining areas.
In its daily report Flood Warning Centre said that all the major rivers are flowing below low flood level in the country.
