Media urged to unveil 'real face' of PML-N

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has stressed upon the media to unveil the real face of so-called champions of democraccy and ruling junta of Punjab PPP is a democratic party and believes in democratic norms and so-called champions of democracy should refrain from teaching the lesson of democracy to us, she said.
Addressing a big public meeting on Saturday late night, the minister said PPP had paid a heavy price for democracy and convert the country into a real democratic state.
The Information Minister said that ruling party was responsible for price hike and deteriorated law and order situation, as a result of which the people were feeling insecure because of increasing crimes in every nook and corner of Punjab. She said that capitalists and industrialist were confronting with fears from the poor segment of the country.
She stressed upon the people that they should not become tools of capitalists because they had always hoodwinked the poor for their personal gains in the country workers should forge complete unity among the ranks for foiling the conspiracies against democracy and rights of poor. It was Shaheed Z.A. Bhutto who raised Kashmir issue in a proper way at various international forums and PPP leadership was following the same policy, she said.
Dr Firdous further stated that workers PPP from top to bottom had played a pivotal role for the revival of democracy in the country and their scarifies for the cause of democracy would be written with golden words in the history of democracy. PPP is not only a symbol of democracy and federation and had deep roots among the masses of all provinces and Azad Kashmir due to its services and performance she said. She said that it is Peoples Party that always struggled for people's right and democracy during the dictatorship and its leadership embarrassed Shahadat for the sake of people.
Dr Firdous said that establishment of PPP government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) had become more imperative under the current scenario of the sub-continent adding that PPP candidates will win their seats with thumping majority in the election. The government had already finalised necessary arrangements for holding AJK polls in fair and free manners and nobody would be allowed to hijack the elections she said.
PPP Punjab president, Imtiaz Safdar Warraich, former provincial minister Ghulam Abbas and MPA Chaudhry Tahir Mehmood Hundli also spoke on the occasion.
