SATURDAY JUNE 18: Rs 990.3971 billion demands for grants approved by National Assembly

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Friday approved Rs 990.3971 billion demands for grants of various ministries and departments without cut motions. Federal Minister for Finance, Abdul Hafeez Sheikh presented 77 demands for grants worth Rs 990.3971 billion of various ministries in the National Assembly and the House approved these demands without any cut motions. No cut motion was presented by the opposition on these demands.
The finance minister presented Rs 4.863 billion demand for grant for Commerce Division, Rs 531.411 million for Defence Production, Rs 397.019 million for Economic Affairs Division, Rs 1.137 billion Statistics Division, Rs 715.819 million Finance Division, Rs 2.838 billion Controller General of Accounts, Rs 278.67 million Pakistan Mint, Rs 1.389 billion National Savings, Rs 6.763 billion other expenditure of Finance Division, Rs 94.088 billion Superannuation Allowances and Pensions, Rs 46.43 billion Grants-in-Aid and Miscellaneous Adjustments between the federal and provincial governments, Rs 411.135 billion Subsidies and Miscellaneous Expenditure, Rs 26.887 billion for Higher Education Commission, Rs 200.952 million Revenue Division, Rs 2.195 billion for Federal Board of Revenue, Rs 3.602 billion for Customs, Rs 6.137 billion Inland Revenue, Rs 753.845 million Planning and Development Division, Rs 83.012 million for Housing and Works Division, Rs 2.290 billion Civil Works, Rs 87.623 million Estate Offices, Rs 56.112 million Federal Lodges, Rs 110.793 million Human Rights Division, Rs 156.609 million Industries and Production Division, Rs 12.186 million Department of Investment Production and Supplies, Rs 471.89 million for other expenditure of Industries and Production Division, Rs 2.539 billion Information Technology and Telecommunication Division, Rs 228.481 million Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Division, Rs 15.767 billion other expenditure of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Division, Rs 8.271 billion for Gilgit-Baltistan, Rs 529.97 million for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Division, Rs 1.863 billion other expenditures of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Rs 1.202 billion Narcotics Control Division, Rs 1.053 billion National Assembly and Rs 469.206 million for the Senate in the House.
Hafeez presented Rs 76.089 million demand for grant for other expenditure of Petroleum and Natural Resources Division, Rs 494.519 million Ports and Shipping Division, Rs 62.485 million Postal Services Division, Rs 10.795 billion Pakistan Post Office Department, Rs 74.743 million Privatisation Division, Rs 35.974 billion Pakistan Railways, Rs 403.136 million Science and Technological Research Division, Rs 3.284 billion for other expenditure of Science and Technological Research Division, Rs 60.625 million States and Frontier Region Division, Rs 4.479 billion for Frontier Regions, Rs 11.618 billion Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Rs 4.054 million maintenance allowances to ex-rulers, Rs 313.507 million Afghan Refuges, Rs 142.087 million Textile Industry Division, Rs 1.939 billion Capital Outlay on Purchases by Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Division, Rs 20.649 billion Federal Miscellaneous Investments, Rs 11.68 other Loans and Advances by the Federal Government and Rs 424.619 million demand for Development Expenditure of Commerce Division in the Lower House of the Parliament.
