Hoor Asrar awarded Rs 100,000

On the eve of 58th birthday celebrations of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, government of Sindh has bestowed on Hoor Asrar Rauf, the youngest record holder of National Breaststroker of Pakistan, "best Swimmer of Pakistan" Award besides a certificate of Rs100,000, to appreciate her extraordinary talent.
The award was given at a befitting ceremony organised by Dr Mohammad Ali, provincial minister and Ms Shazia Muree was the chief guest. The award was announced by a panel of seven reputed sportsmen and dignitaries.
Hoor has recently created new national records of breaststroke and is currently having training sessions with world champion Michael Phelps at Baltimore, USA. Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Prime Minister of Pakistan has also bestowed upon her Achievement Award. She is Pakistan's hope in next year Olympic Games 2012, to be held at London.
