Lahore based Yasir Butt failed to join compatriots - Aamir Atlas Khan and Farhan Mehboob in the main rounds of Jena International Championship, underway in Kuwait, after he lost his qualifying final match to Malaysian Ivan Yuen.
Yasir Butt won the first round 11-8, however the Malaysian player came back strongly in the second round and eventually recorded a 8-11, 11-4, 11-4, 11-5 triumph in 45 minutes to secure a place in the main rounds of the event. The 20-year-old from Selangor will face Egypt's Omar Abdel Aziz for a place in the second round. Top seeded Pakistani player Aamir Atlas Khan will face unseeded Bradley Hindle of Malta in the first round while his cousin and second seed Farhan Mehboob will take on local qualifier Abdullah Almezayen for a place in the second round.
