Rs six billion for PEF in current budget

Punjab Government had provided an amount of Rs 6 billion in the current budget for the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF), which would be utilised for the promotion of quality education in the poor and backward communities through public-private partnership.
This was stated by Chairman Punjab Education Foundation Raja Mohammad Anwar while presiding over a departmental meeting at his office, here on Monday.
The meeting was told that additional funds would be helpful for expanding PEF sponsored programmes. Raja Anwar told that Punjab Government was working hard to ensure that every child of school going age must have equal opportunities of getting education so that 100 percent literacy could be ensured in Punjab.
