Mushaira 'Bayad Faiz Ahmed Faiz' held

Anjuman Adab Balochistan organised "Bayad Faiz Ahmed Faiz": a Tarhi Mushaira at Musa Pak College, here on Saturday night. In the first session, Balochistan Minister for Inter-Provincial Co-ordination, Dr Ruqaiya Saeed Hashmi, took oath as the Chairperson of Anjuman Adab, Balochistan. Minister for Culture and Sports Mir Shahnawaz Marri administered oath to Dr Hashmi.
Secretary Education Cap. Akbar Hussain Durrani (retd) was the Chief Guest. The participants in the Tarhi Mushaira were given three stanzas from the poetry of legendary poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz: "Lambi Hai Gham Ki Sham Magar Sham Hi To Hai". Speaking on the occasion, Dr Hashmi said she would continue her efforts for promotion of literature, including poetry, prose, fiction and novel across Balochistan.
Secretary Education Durrani said he would ensure organising literary programmes in 101 colleges of Balochistan, respectively, every month. He hoped that Anjuman Adab, Balochistan, with the patronage of Dr Hashmi would convey message of literature to every house of the provincial capital and other parts of the province. The guests were presented with shields and Durrani on behalf of Quetta Writers' Forum presented literary magazine "Harf" to Dr Hashmi.
More than 20 poets participated in the Mushaira and presented their poems in the line with three stanzas of the verse of Faiz Ahmed Faiz given to them.
