Police surgeon Dr Baqir Shah, who had conducted the autopsy of the foreigners shot dead by police and FC personnel in Khroteababd, rejected the claim that the foreigners had attacked the police with hand grenades. Shah dismissed the claim that the foreigners had attacked security forces with hand grenades, as previously claimed by police.
The foreigners' drive also backtracked from his earlier statement given in police custody.
The driver, Ata Muhammad, said that the foreigners were unarmed and he had not seen any hand grenades or explosives in the car while taking them from Kachlak to Quetta. He said that he gave his previous statement under police pressure.
