Bearish trend was seen on the wholesale grain market on Thursday as most of the commodity items tended lower due to comfortable arrivals from upcountry centres, dealers said. On the cereal side, asoor Canada was lower by Rs 500 to Rs 5500, asoor dal Canada fell sharply by Rs 1000 to Rs 6500, wheat old bardan and wheat new bardan were up by Rs 10 to Rs 2500-2515, they said.
On the grams side only one change was seen as guwar low type gained Rs 50 to Rs 5050 while better type did not show any change at Rs 2515, they said. On the seed side cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type picked up Rs 20 to Rs 1360 and good type gained Rs 25 to Rs 1425, rapeseeds Nawabshah shed Rs 2250-2275, Mirpurlane lost Rs 50 to 2225-2250 and rapeseeds Dadulane lost Rs 150 to Rs 1900-1950, they said. Prices were firm on the rice sector, they said.
