Formation of RBCCP: A constituent meeting to form the 'Russian Business Council for Cooperation with Pakistan' (RBCCP) was held on May 4, 2011, in Moscow at the premises of the 'Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce & Industry' (RF CCI).
The meeting was chaired by Mr. George Petrov, the Vice-President of the 'RF CCI' and attended by the representatives of Russian Ministries, Public Organizations, Banks, Insurance Companies, Financial Corporations, and wide range of Russian and Pakistani businessmen from Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities of Russia.
Mr. Gennady Seleznev, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of 'Mosoblbank', the Ex-speaker of the State Parliament (Duma), was elected the Chairman of the 'RBCCP', four Vice-Chairman were elected: Mr. Sergei Vasiliev, the Director of the 'Department of Foreign Economic Cooperation' of the 'RF CCI', Mr. Alexander Malchevskij, the President of the 'Mosoblbank', Mr. Vladimir Volkov, the Vice-President for Investment Policy and Development of the 'Republican Financial Corporation', Mr. Nikolaj Kostrov, the Vice-President of the 'Mosoblbank', and the Dr. Zahid Ali Khan, the Director of the 'Trade Coord-in International Ltd' (Russia), was elected as an Executive Director of 'RBCCP'.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. George Petrov, welcome the delegates, and expressed heartiest gratitude for the formation of 'RBCCP', Mr. Genadi Seleznev said, that the Pakistan is a very interesting and promising country, we have to develop our business relations and work out a concrete program of cooperation with Pakistan. He said that the 'RBCCP' is designed with the new ideas and programs to supplement the work with the intergovernmental commissions, and to strengthen the links between the business communities of Russia and Pakistan.
Mr. Vasiliev, the Director of the 'Department of Foreign Economic Cooperation' of the 'RF CCI' pointed out that the 'Russian Business Council for Cooperation with Pakistan', has to become the center of attraction for Russian businessmen, wishing to establish mutually beneficial relations with the Pakistani business partners. He further said that the possibilities are available for cooperation with Pakistan, as the 'FCCI' of Russia have already established good relations with the 'Federation Chamber of Commerce & Industry' of Pakistan.
Russia and Pakistan
Russia is one of the leading countries in the world, especially in the fields of energy, fundamental science, nuclear and space research, and modern industrial technologies. Recently, the Russia has entered into a new stage of its scientific and hi-tech modernization, which has to bring more achievements in the science and technology.
The Russian Federation pursues a dynamic foreign policy standing for a just and democratic world order, and playing one of the leading roles in the United Nations. The Russia fully recognizes her responsibility for maintaining the international security and prepare for the constructive cooperation with other nations to find out solution to the numerous challenges. The Russian Federation actively interacted in solving international problems on the basis of co-operation within the framework of such key international organization as United Nations, the 'Shanghai Co-operation Organization', 'Organization of Islamic Conference' and others.
The bilateral and trade relations between the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan are in a good shape, and developing. The Russia is cooperating with Pakistan in many programs of development, and wish to work on more broader scale in various prospective areas, primarily in commerce and industry. The excellent example of cooperation is the mutually beneficial project, the 'Pakistan Steel Mills' and the collaboration in the field of power and steel production. Further development and strengthening of the multi-faceted cooperation and partnership, between the Russia and Pakistan, meets the interests of peoples of both the countries, industry, building technologies, etc. is also of area of our interest.
Along with the solo business actions RBCCP plans to take part in organization in the above mentioned areas exhibitions, seminars, round table conferences, exchange of students, professors, researchers, scientists, etc.
The cooperation in the field of energy (oil & gas), coal mining, motor and rail transport, chemical fertilizers, fisheries, machine tools and many other technical products, provide a good chance to develop close business ties between the commercial partners of both the countries.
To Develop Business
The businessmen of Russia and Pakistan are interested to develop long term reliable and mutually beneficial trade relations between the two countries, and 'RBCCP' sees its role to assist the process in various forms; to take part in negotiations in solving the existing problems between the two countries; to help establishing the Banking relations both state-owned and private financial institutions; to establish links with the traders, industrial partners, entrepreneur and commercial structures.
We plan to take part in creation of the reliable, easy and operateable economic activities, and an effective system of cargo transportation between the two countries; provide waerhousing and custom clearance facilities to all the interested business companies in Russia and Pakistan
To arrange the series of Profile Trade Exhibitions, Seminars, Conferences in various cities of Russia and Pakistan; organize regularly the exchange of trade delegations, assistance in visa support and all other related matters; create an efficient business structure, and advertising in each country about the products of both the countries.
Areas of Cooperation
The 'Russian Business Council for Cooperation with Pakistan' will devote its work to establish and develop cooperation between the traders of two countries in the most prospective areas of business, long term programs of scientific and technological cooperation, develop investment programs, creating the Joint Ventures, in such areas as machine building, power engineering, energy, electrical technology, oil, gas, coal, metals and minerals.
The Russia is interested to work in important fields with Pakistan as: Ecology, Pollution, Water cleaning and Waste processing, Sea Biology, Agro/Geo sphere, prediction of Earthquake etc.
The another area of cooperation will be agricultural sector, where we plan to assist the businesses in such fields as agricultural machinery, fertilizers, veterinary, crop breeding, and cooperation in construction of industrial project, building technologies etc.
The 'RBCCP' plans to arrange regular meetings between business companies, and work on programs of exchange of students, professors, researchers, scientists, member of cultural societies etc.
Export and Import
The 'RBCCP' is ready to assist in developing the mutually profitable trade between both the countries, business companies from traditional goods to new products - including scientifically approved and hi-technical modern machinery, industrial goods and agricultural products.
It is important to explore the possibilities of Export/Import, between Russia and Pakistan, in different field as - urea, D.A.P, colours, ammonium sulphate, N.P.K, wood for furniture industry and construction; raw material for plastic industry; agricultural machinery and equipment; heavy machines; cars, trucks, bulldozes, tractors, ships and vessels; machinery for processing and preserving of fishery products; laser techniques used for cutting, shaping and polishing stones; garments and leather goods manufacturing machinery; machinery for quality control and testing laboratories etc.
The 'RBCCP' will assist in finding competitive business partners, for pharmaceutical products, chrome ore, auto parts, furniture, textile, garments, cotton, yarn, terry, knitted fabrics, leather and leather goods, carpets, sport goods and sports wears, surgical instruments, various agricultural products - rice, frozen sea foods, potato, onion, fresh fruits, sugar cane, spices, molasses, fruit pulp, etc.
