US grain futures extended losses by mid-morning on Monday due to improved crop weather in the United States and Europe, with wheat and corn each sliding about 2 percent as a firm dollar added to the pressure. Wheat for July delivery was down 18-1/4 cents at $7.55-1/2 per bushel as of 11:20 am CDT (1620 GMT) at the Chicago Board of Trade.
CBOT July corn fell for the second session in a row and was down 14-3/4 cents at $7.39-1/4 per bushel while July soyabeans eased 23-1/4 cents to $13.91, breaking a four-session streak of gains and were poised for the biggest drop in a month.
