KESC has strongly condemned the target killing of one of its senior officials, Colonel Muhammad Ali Saqi (Retd) who was an integral part of KESC's security department, says a press release issued here on Monday. The statement said that Colonel Saqi (Retd) was an extremely dedicated and a hardworking member of the team that was assigned the task of eradicating corruption within KESC.
"His targeted killing would adversely affect our efforts to eradicate the menace of corruption within KESC ranks", said one of the officials. The official further said that the tragic demise of Saqi has come at a time when KESC is struggling against both internal and external forces that are resisting the change and reform process in KESC. "We, however, remain committed to further the mission of our colleague with even greater fervour".
KESC management has expressed deep condolence with the family of the deceased colleague and urged the government to bring his murderers to justice.
