PTDC has started daily Bus Service between Rawalpindi and Naran with a view to promote domestic tourism in the country, says a press release received here on Saturday. Mir Shahjahan Khetran, Managing Director PTDC while inaugurating the Bus Service, said that PTDC is not only offering special discounted tour packages to Pakistani families, students and tourist groups, but also foreign tourists.
He added that to facilitate tourists, a special counter has been established by Pakistan Tours Ltd. Mir Shahjahan Khetran said that the road to Naran is open and people of Kaghan are ready to welcome tourists. The tourist flow in the area will help not only in increasing revenue, but also in rehabilitating earthquake and flood affected areas, besides creating new jobs opportunities.
He said that this is the only bus services between Rawalpindi to Naran and tourism is the only industry, which earns more foreign exchange than any other industry as well as increase foreign investment in the country. PTDC started Bus Service between Rawalpindi and Naran in 1997, which has successfully been continued till date. Thousands of tourists visited Kaghan valley by utilising this service. Tourists travelling on the bus appreciated the services and efforts of PTDC to promote tourism in the country. They requested PTDC to start more services like this for other tourist places in Pakistan especially for Swat Valley.-PR
