CNG stations face low pressure of gas: long queues seen on almost all CNG stations
Nearly all CNG stations across the city faced low pressure of gas and as a result there were long queues witnessed on almost all the CNG stations in the city. While talking to Business Recorder Chairman All Pakistan CNG Association Punjab Chapter Fayyaz Gilani alleged that Sui Northern Gas Pipe Lines Limited (SNGPL) was not giving proper pressure to the pumps because they were giving gas to the rental power plants.
He also said that in their meeting with the Managing Director SNGPL they had raised the issue of low pressure but the problem of low pressure still continues. Gilani said that people were facing the problem of low pressure during summers and what will happen in the winter when there was a severe cold weather.
According to the survey conducted by Business Recorder CNG stations in different areas of the city including Garden Town, Model Town, Township, Wapda Town, Johar Town and the Walled City were facing the problem of low gas pressure. While According to the SNGPL officials there was no problem of low pressure of gas on the stations and they were giving proper pressure to the CNG stations however, there was a possibility of low pressure on the CNG stations, which were on the tail adding that there was no gas holiday for industrial sector which may be the cause of low pressure on the areas located on the tail.
