The first meeting of Joint Working Group of India and Pakistan was held here for two days on Thursday and Friday to examine the modalities for streamlining visa procedures and finalising draft of Bilateral Visa Agreement. According to a joint statement by the Foreign Office, the meeting of the Working Group was held in pursuance of the decision taken during the talks of Interior/Home Secretaries of Pakistan and India held in New Delhi on March 28-29, 2011.
The discussions were held in a friendly and cordial atmosphere. The two sides discussed details and modalities of visa facilitation with a view to easing travel for the nationals of either country desiring to visit the other. They also discussed amendments in the existing agreement.
