Provincial President PPP-Sherpao and MPA Sikandar Khan Sherpao Thursday criticised that the government has missed all economic targets set in present financial years, saying that the inflation ratio was swelled in wake of poor monetary policy.
Speaking at a joining ceremony of Pasban youth in PPP-Sherpao group here at Peshawar Press club, he said that the present coalition government had failed in the achievement of major economic and general objectives during its three year tenure.
MPA Sikandar Sherpao said the government also failed in implementation of resolutions adopted by parliament to address the key security and deteriorating law and order situation. He informed that the country had lost $60 billion in war against terrorism, saying that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the worst affected area in the endless war, he added. He criticised the ANP-led coalition government for failure to take up seriously issues confronted the province.
Regarding the PM-relief package, he said that the benefit had passed on to few blue-eyed, which was totally injustice with local traders and business community.
The provincial legislator said that the government had failed to achieve targets set in this financial year. He said the country is facing price hike and food security issues, owing to poor governance system and economic policies, whereas the growing energy crisis has aggravated the situation. Despite the major power producer, he said the province had deprived from the facility. He rejected the recent increase in power tariff and said they will move to court against it. He explained that circular debts had grown from 9.5 to 14.1 percent of the country.
Sharing the burden of debts, he said the foreign debts had touched at Rs 11trillion, out which 6.2trilliion liabilities in term of external-debts added by the present government. He criticised that the government had failed to provide any kind of relief to poverty stricken masse in passage of three year tenure. The major issues like, inflation, power crisis, unemployment and law and order are still unsolved, he maintained.
He said the government didn't fully materialise the resolutions adopted by parliaments on certain issues. He called for revisiting the internal and external policies to give sort of relief in next financial budget.
