Arabica coffee futures closed at the lowest in nearly four months on Wednesday, on heavy investor selling after a wave of sell-stops were triggered. The key July raw sugar contract fell 0.72 cent, or 3.1 percent, to settle at 22.46 cents a lb.
July arabica coffee futures tumbled 8.65 cents, or 3.3 percent, to finish at $2.5595 per lb, the weakest settlement for the spot contract since Feb. 11. Key July cocoa futures closed down $46 to settle at $2,953 per tonne.
