Modest trading was witnessed on the wholesale grain market on Wednesday as balanced demand and supply position did not allow the participants to indulge in panic selling or buying, dealers said. On the cereal side wheat old bardan old and new were up by Rs 5 to Rs 2490 and Rs 2505, other items maintained overnight levels in process of trading, they said.
On the grams sector, grams 50x50 gained Rs 100 to Rs 4850-5050 in process of trading, they said. On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh dropped by Rs 50 to Rs 3600-3650, other items retain the overnight levels, they said. On the seed side cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh inferior type did not show any change at Rs 1350 while the best quality shed overnight gains, losing Rs 20 to 1400, they said.
