Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Company (PHDEC) is collaborating with the Institute of Business and Management Sciences (IBMS), University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, in conducting a 6-day training programme on mango market research under the mango value chain Improvement project, Australia-Pakistan Agriculture Sector Programme (ASLP) phase-II.
Dr Khalid Mustafa, Director IBMS, inaugurated the training session on 30 May with a welcoming address at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. The Dean of the Faculty of Agri-Economics and Rural Sociology also addressed the inauguration session, highlighting the impact of ASLP project activities on the mango industry, adding that such collaboration between Pakistan and Australia will bring positive changes to the mango industry in Pakistan.
The programme has been developed by Dr Tim Sun from the University of Queensland, Australia. Dr Sun will also deliver the programme, which is a combination of classroom sessions and practical fieldwork in the marketplace.-PR
