Pakistani troops off to Liberia

A batch of 254 Pakistan troops left here on Wednesday for peace-keeping duties and rehabilitation of infrastructure in the war torn Liberia under the aegis of the United Nations. A press release of the ISPR issued here said. The troops were seen off at the airport by Brigadier Junaid Iqbal.
Pakistan is one of the largest troops contributing countries in the United Nations, the ISPR said.
The Pakistan blue berets have earned a high degree of respect as proficient force working for the cause of global peace, it added.
