A few changes were seen on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday as buyers were on the sidelines mainly waiting for budget 2011-12, which is expected this week, dealers said. On the cereals side wheat old bardan old and new rates were up by Rs 10 to Rs 2485 and Rs 2500, other items maintained overnight levels in process of trading, they said.
On the rice sector Irri-6 Sindh low type retained overnight level at Rs 3650 while the best quality was down by Rs 100 to Rs 3700, they said. On the seed side, rapeseeds Nawabshah was quoted higher at Rs 2225-2250, rapeseeds cakes shed Rs 5 t0 Rs 870-875 and cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh inferior type did not show any change at Rs 1350 while the best quality extended overnight gains, rising by Rs 20 to Rs 1420 due to good demand, they said.
