This was stated by the Sindh Minister for Youth Affairs, Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari, here on Wednesday. He said that a sum of Rs. 193 million would be utilized for training programmes. These include the Inspiring Pakistan Youth to Reach Excellence Through Counselling and Training (INSPYRE), Inspiring Leadership, Empowerment and Development in Youth (ilead), Youth Empowering Spaces (YES) and Career Counselling. These programmes have been initiated in collaboration with the Habib University Foundation (HUF), the British Council and the Capacity Builders. The Minister chaired a meeting to review the progress regarding these programmes, an official of the Department said. The meeting was attended by Director of Youth Affairs, Khurshid Ali Shaikh, Wasif Rizvi of HUF), Mansoor Wandhani of Capacity Builders and Yasmin Bano, Project Head, and others. Faisal Subzwari said on the occasion that the Sindh Youth Affairs Department is imparting technical training to youngsters in various fields in order to generate employment opportunities and help spur the development process. He also asked the partner organizations to fully encourage the youngsters and help them find new avenues to exhibit their skills. The Minister assured that the Department of Youth Affairs would fully assist in this task. Khurshid Ali Shaikh, Wasif Rizvi and Mansoor Wandhani also updated the participants of the meeting regarding the progress that has been made so far.
