Speakers here on Friday while praising the services of PML-N Chief Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, said the need of the hour is a bold, undaunted leadership and added the nation would once again emerge stronger and defending the country against all odds under his leadership.
The speakers including Speaker Punjab Assembly, Rana Iqbal Ahmad Khan, MNA Chaudhry Naseer Ahmad Bhutta, Wali Muhammad Khan, Khwja Mahmood Ahmad were addressing a seminar organised by PML(N) Lawyers Forum in connection with 'Yaume Takbir'. The speakers said the country is once again feeling dire need of a leader like Nawaz Sharif in power so that the nation could face the serious challenges with unity, bravery and one voice.
They said, whole nation salutes courage and steadfastness of Nawaz Sharif who denoted atomic bombs kicking away every greed, threat and pressure from the world. They said Pakistan was passing through a difficult time particularly owing to American intervention in our affairs and the drone attacks on innocent people.
They said much has been lost and wasted away in the American war on terror and the rulers were still not able to take brave decision in the interests of the country. They said American friendship means its slavery and protecting its interests at the cost of our man and material losses and even at the expense of our respect and sovereignty. Now the nation has to decide whether it has to live with honour and respect among the comity of the nations or continue as slave of American wishes, demands and dictates.
They said by attaining economic independence and giving up dependence on foreign aid, Pakistan can formulate its independent policies and find a respectable place in the world and added, with the same sprit, Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has refused to accept aid from America. They said the solution lies in getting rid of America and abandoning the trend of obeying its policies and dictates. They said sovereignty and independence of the country would be safe only when we had able and courageous leadership in power.
