Modalities of payments to PSO by Wapda discussed: Dr Asim meets Naveed Qamar

Dr Asim Hussain, Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources (P&NR) held a meeting with Federal Minster for Water and Power, Syed Naveed Qamar to devise and settle the modalities of payment from Wapda to Pakistan State Oil (PSO). Muhammad Ijaz Chaudhry, Secretary Ministry of P&NR was also present in the meeting.
Dr Asim stressed on the need to develop a smooth mechanism of payment to the state-owned oil company from the power producers so that the former does not confront any payment deficit and an uninterrupted supply of fuel may be maintained to the power producers.
He said that delayed payments might hamper the smooth supply of fuel, which in turn may disrupt the production of the power producing companies. The officials of the two ministries will meet again to carve out a suitable method for timely payments of purchases from PSO.-PR
