The export of surgical goods showed an upward trend, as surgical goods worth $18.19 million were exported from July 2010 to March 2011. According to statistics made available with Business Recorder, export of surgical goods registered an increase of 2.66 percent, as during the corresponding period last year (July-2009 to March-2010), the export of surgical goods was recorded at $17.72 million.
During the first nine months of current fiscal, cutlery goods of about 64.119 million were exported showing an increase of 37.91 percent as against US $46.49 million of the same period of corresponding year. The data shows that the export of electronic fans also increased by 26.39-percent during the nine months of current fiscal. As many as 1.348 million fans worth US $27.8 million were exported.
The export of fans was recorded at 1.1 million fans with a total cost of $22.0 million during the same period of corresponding year. As per data, the export of furniture posted 38.14 percent growth during the current fiscal. Furniture worth $8.83 million was exported during last nine months of current year as compared to $5.9 million of same period of last corresponding year.
