Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker, Rana Mashood here on Thursday speaking at a ceremony to distribute Income Support cards amongst 120 deserving children stated that it is mandatory to spread quality education in the country. He said it is necessary to curb terrorist tendencies in those areas of the country where terrorism menace is there.
He said people at the helm of affairs should take extraordinary steps to promote spread of education in these areas. The Deputy Speaker stated that due to corruption and bad management in government corporations, rupees 400 amount had been wasted in the past. He said Rs 500 billion got wasted in collection of revenues and taxes and had pilferage in the sectors be stopped, no taxes could be levied on poor masses of the country.
He said infrastructure improvement along-with supplementation in tax collection measures could sail the country into safe shores. Besides large number of people, Syed Ali Raza, Chairman Royal Friends Association also participated in the function.
