The country's foreign exchange reserves rose by $99 million to $17.066 billion in the week ending May 21, from $16.967 billion a week earlier. According to latest statistics reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) surged by $113 million to $13.669 billion as on May 21, 2011 from $13.556 billion a week earlier. While, foreign exchange reserves held by commercial banks posted a decline of $13 million to $3.396 billion from $3.410 billion.
