Prime Minister visits PNS Shifa, enquires after health of attack victims
Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Tuesday visited PNS Shifa and enquired about the health of the injured of terrorist attack on air base of Pakistan Navy at PNS Mehran. He met all the injured one by one admitted in the general and surgical ward and ICU.
"After visiting the patients I am happy and feeling proud of the 'Jawans' who despite injuries are determined to serve and defend the motherland," the Prime Minister said while talking to media persons briefly after the visit. He said the nation was proud of the jawans who embraced martyrdom and those who were injured in the 'Response Operation' at PNS Mehran against terrorists.
The security personnel of Navy, Rangers and Police showed extra ordinary courage and fought bravely to eliminate the terrorists and protect their colleagues and assets of Pakistan Navy, he added. To a question, the Prime Minister said Defence Committee of the Cabinet would meet in Islamabad on Wednesday to review overall security arrangements in the country. The Prime Minister was also accompanied by Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul-Ebad-Khan, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and CNS Admiral Noman Bashir and Interior Minister Rehman Malik.
