Islamabad Police have arrested ten persons including four women for their alleged involvement in car-snatching, drug pushing, bootlegging, prostitution and theft from whom a snatched vehicle, two pistols ((30-bore), 2 kg charas, 12 bottles of liquor, stolen items worth Rs 100000 were recovered, said Naeem Iqbal, a spokesman of Islamabad Police here on Monday.
Shehzad Town Police during general hold up nabbed a dacoit Abdul Sattar and recovered one pistol (30-bore) and a snatched vehicle bearing registration No IDS-1835, which he snatched from Muhammad Khan from Kurri Road. During the general hold-up, Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Islamabad Police stopped a car bearing registration no LEE-6622. During the checking two kg charas was recovered from the car, while two persons onboard namely Ramzan and Aziz Khan were arrested. The CIA Police during a routine patrolling stopped a person Yunus Maseeh and recovered 12 bottles of liquor from his possession.
Sihala Police during routine patrolling stopped a persons namely Imran and during search one pistol (30-bore) was recovered from him. Sihala Police also arrested a thief identified as Yusuf for having stolen items worth Rs 100000. Koral Police stopped a person Dawood Khan and on search police recovered 120 gram charas from his possession. Shalimar and Industrial Area Police separately busted two gangs involved in sex trade and nabbed seven persons including four women for their alleged involvement in prostitution. The detained persons were identified as Afzal, Zeenat Bibi, Maryam, Aslam, Sharjeel, Abida and Shareefa.
