Taiwan stocks snapped three sessions of declines on Wednesday to end 0.68 percent higher, led by department stores and automakers. The main TAIEX finished up 60.75 points at 8,944.84, after a flat open. The department store and automaker sub-indexes advanced 2.98 percent and 2.44 percent, respectively, while electronics issues were up 0.73 percent. The banking sub-index slipped 0.19 percent.
