Iran's Deputy Interior Minister for Security Affairs, Ali Abdullahi who is currently on Pakistan's visit discussed security ties with Interior Minister, Rehman Malik. Abdullahi stressed precise and complete implementation of security pacts between the two countries, Iran's IRNA news agency reported Monday.
Both sides also discussed campaigns against terrorism, narcotics, human trafficking, organised crime, and border control. Abdullahi and Malik also decided on formation of a Tehran-Islamabad security commission to be chaired by security deputies of Interior Ministers of Iran and Pakistan, IRNA said. President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called for expansion of Tehran-Islamabad co-operation in fighting terrorism and drug trafficking. "Such co-operation will be beneficial for both states as well as regional countries," Ahmadinejad said in a meeting with Rehman Malik in Tehran recently.
