Total open interest at the futures counter increased to Rs 1.07 billion, by 1.6 percent, during the week ended on May 13, 2011. The futures spreads also increased by 19bps to 1.44 percent. Trading at the futures counter, however, remained low as the average futures volumes declined by 23 percent to 2.3 million shares.
