Christian community's AJK Chief, Younis Bhatti has reiterated his resolve by declaring that the minorities in Pakistan including Azad Jammu and Kashmir will not lag behind in playing their part in the speedy progress and prosperity of the country side by side their countrymen. He was addressing a congregation of local Christian community, here late Saturday.
Bhatti, also the Executive Member of National Council of Christian, said minorities including Christian community are enjoying full liberty to perform their religious rites and other obligations in the district. He called for immediate establishment of a colony for homeless local Christians, besides reservation of site for establishment of a grand church in the district. He said AJK Prime Minister has recently laid foundation stone of a colony in AJK for housing shelter-less state subject Christians of the district. He also called for simplification of the process for registration of eligible state-subject Christian voters hailing from the state to enable the community to exercise their right of vote in the forthcoming AJK Assembly elections.
